The experience started out really good and kind of went downhill a little. I had high expectations starting out based on the initial customer service interaction but there were a couple of delays with start time. I was ok with the delays because I work remote but the first day they were supposed to get started they could only send one person. That too was ok; However I was under the impression that all materials would be preordered or purchased. When he gets there he says he has to go to Home Depot to purchase everything. It confused me because when I contracted I had to provide a list of the materials needed for the job, i.e. paint color, wall molding. Then there was a slight language barrier with the guys that they sent out. Btw they were very nice and accommodating so I don’t blame them. But when discussing approval for the wall the workman misunderstood what I was asking for so they started the job and had to take down what they completed and restart. It was the very beginning of the job so not a big loss on time but it was somewhat frustrating for them and myself. They then had to go back to Home Depot to get more materials and I had to go with them because they couldn’t get accounting on the phone so they could provide additional money to purchase the material. With all of these small issues what really was disappointing was when I spoke with Taylor, the Project Manager, and he indicated they were looking to charge me for an additional day because I approved the initial project draft and then changed my mind and asked for something different. Due to the language barrier there was just a misunderstanding. Also Taylor was nice initially but he was not much of a real project manager. He only communicated start time. Once there were actual issues he kind of checked out IMO. He just appeared to be disengaged in the process. The work itself was good which is the reason for the 4 stars. Contracting the job and closing out payment was a breeze but the job itself felt a little unorganized. Again, the crew, who consists of two men, a father and son, were great.
