We had used Atlanta Painting Company several years back for interior painting and it was one of the best contracted experiences we’d ever had. That said, it was a no-brainer to us when we decided to call them back to paint our exterior. Whether it was because of Covid or this particular job was just a fluke … our experience was NOT the same this time.
I will say that the final result was good. I mean, we ended up with a good paint job. But here’s the catch: We knew we were paying a bit higher to get the job done. That’s because we knew the quality of their work from previous experience. At the end of it all, they did everything they said they’d do. Everything, that is except keep the timeline. After not showing up at all on the first day, and with no contact whatsoever from their project manager, I realized instantly that there were serious miscommunications happening between their work team, the PM, and the office teams. We went through 3 different PMs and 3 different work crews during the job. My wife and I had to continually email, text, and/or call to get updates or status. What was suppose to start and be completed in 3-4 days ended up getting finished in 11 days … and we’re just not certain it would even be done now had we not kept pressing for information. We had to keep giving each new PM and work crew the same information over and over again as there was just ZERO communication happening internally between them.
All of that said, the work teams were great when they finally arrived. Especially the last team. I’d suggest to APC that the last team they sent out here was by far the most knowledgeable and performed the highest quality of work. If it hadn’t been for the fantastic communication and quality of work by that team I’d have probably challenged paying my final balance.
At the end we were pleased. But the road leading to the end was WAY harder than it should have been!
